Job summary

USA Jet, part of Ascent Global Logistics, Inc., seeks a Stockroom Purchasing professional to manage material sourcing, supplier quotes, and timely order execution at Willow Run Airport in Belleville, MI. The role supports maintenance needs and drives on-time deliveries in a fast-paced aviation environment.

You will coordinate with vendors, track BER/repair orders in AMOS, and ensure clean, organized stockrooms while complying with safety programs and training requirements.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Purchase materials and components for maintenance and department needs.
• Request price and availability quotes from suppliers for deadlines.
• Provide AOG material support to the Maintenance department.
• Execute purchase orders and related paperwork promptly.
• Follow up on purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery.
• Maintain BER and repair order reports in AMOS.
• Coordinate with vendors for returns or destruction of BER parts.
• Build relationships with internal teams and suppliers to resolve discrepancies.

What You’ll Do

• Purchase materials and components to support scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and other department requirements
• Requests price and availability quotes from safe and reputable suppliers for the best price and delivery dates to meet project deadlines
• Provide time-sensitive Aircraft on Ground (AOG) aircraft material support to the USA Jet Airlines Maintenance department.
• Executes purchase orders or exchange orders and purchase requests timely and accurately, printing all necessary paperwork to accompany orders including request and quote
• Follow-up on purchase orders to ensure timely delivery within stated lead times
• Confirm trace paperwork meets GMM standards
• Provide time-sensitive Aircraft on Ground (AOG) aircraft material support to the USA Jet Airlines Maintenance department.
• Maintains over‑due purchase order and repair order reports using AMOS system, contacts vendors as needed to support inventory and operational requirements for USA Jet Airlines
• Orders supplies as needed for day‑to‑day operation of the stockroom as well as additional off‑site locations
• Review repair quotes from vendors to determine if repair or replacement or part will be more financially economical
• Coordinates with vendors for the return or destruction of BER (Beyond Economical Repair) parts
• Build relationships with internal departments and outside suppliers while assisting with purchase requests and discrepancies
• Keep purchasing area clean and organized
• Reviews material receiving deficiencies and arrange for returns, replacements or credit
• Complete all assigned training
• Responsible to actively participate in USA Jet Safety Programs and SMS. Required to report all safety concerns in a timely manner. Required to ensure that they and their co‑workers are performing their functions in the safest possible manner. Required to follow the standards of the Occupational Safety and Health organization with legal authority at the location at which they are working
• Other projects/tasks as assigned by USA Jet Airlines Stockroom Leadership
