Job summary

Air Wisconsin seeks a Sourcing/Purchasing professional to drive procurement and materials planning for aircraft operations. The role ensures timely, compliant handling of parts, maintains inventory levels, and supports 24/7 AOG operations.

The candidate will coordinate with Maintenance Operations and Technical Stores, analyze inventory metrics, and mentor staff while aligning with company policies and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field or equivalent practical career experience.
• Knowledgeable and qualified for FAA, DOT and IATA regulations concerning material procurement and shipping (including DOT HAZMAT training).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including strong Excel skills.
• General knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple time-sensitive projects and work under pressure.
• Ability to develop strong partnerships with peers, internal customers and vendors.
• Strong analytical and math skills.

Responsibilities

• Promotes and fosters a safe and secure operating environment.
• Ensures effective communication with Maintenance Operations Center and line stations for timely handling of materials and services requests.
• Provides 24/7 coverage for AOG support through resource coordination.
• Manages procurement of parts to maintain adequate inventory for operations and AOG events.
• Develops and adheres to procurement, materials planning and AOG materials processes.
• Aims to reduce inventory growth, shipping costs, and material spend during heavy checks.
• Provides materials planning, coordination and support to the Maintenance Operations group.
• Collaborates with Technical Stores to monitor unserviceable inventory.
• Analyzes inventory levels, reorder points, and allocates inventory across Air Wisconsin warehouses.
• Mentors direct reports and supports budget/variance analyses.
