Job summary

Amity Foundation, an internationally acclaimed Teaching and Therapeutic Community, seeks compassionate individuals to join our team as Counselor II/III. This is a State Prison-based opportunity delivering face-to-face rehabilitative programming within ISUDTP to support community re-entry and training growth.

The Counselor II/III roles require AOD Counselor certification; Counselor III requires one year of full-time experience in certified AOD counseling. TEMP positions do not offer benefits.

Qualifications

• Counselor II: Certified as an AOD Counselor.
• Counselor III: Certified as an AOD Counselor, with one year of full-time experience providing certified AOD counseling services.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate CBI classes, using evidence-based and standardized curriculums to participants.
• Conduct class and individual sessions to develop release prevention/action plans and/or provide make-up work.
• Evaluate and document the progress of participants assigned to their classes.
• Document delivery of CBI programming services in ARMS.
• Engage participants daily and reinforce group norms and expectations for participation and completion.
• Work collaboratively with the CDCR/CCHCS headquarters, local institution, and CDCR contracted staff and others.
• Other related duties as assigned.

About the Position:

The Counselor II/III (ISUDT) The Counselor III is responsible for the delivery of face-to-face rehabilitative programming services provided in the Integrated Substance Use Disorder Treatment Program (ISUDTP).
