Job summary

Anthropic is seeking a research scientist to lead antibody process development and manufacturing efforts, combining AI with hands-on biology. You will design and optimize expression/purification, characterize products with analytical tools, and help plan CMC routes toward IND-enabling studies while collaborating with AI researchers.

The role requires deep lab experience with mammalian systems, protein analytics, and cross-functional communication.

Qualifications

• PhD in biochemical engineering, chemical engineering, biochemistry, or related field.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience with antibody/process development and manufacturing for IND-enabling studies.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity in a fast-evolving research environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and run antibody expression and purification end-to-end.
• Characterize materials with analytical panels (SEC, LC-MS, icIEF, binding kinetics).
• Plan CMC paths toward IND-enabling studies and coordinate external manufacturing.
