Ingenovis Health is seeking an experienced Antepartum Nurse in Charge to oversee high-risk obstetric patients and coordinate care across shifts in a busy unit.
The RN will monitor fetal status, respond to emergent deliveries, perform NSTs, and provide post-partum teaching, with MA licensure and required certifications such as BLS, NRP, and ACLS.
Unit Details:Antepartum Nurse in Charge must have extensive experience monitoring and caring for wide variety of high-risk antepartum patients such as gestational hypertension, gestational diabetes, multiple gestation, PROMs, and preterm labor, and fetal loss. RN must be proficient in fetal monitoring, intervening with appropriate interventions, and completing NSTs. RN must also have experience with caring for patients undergoing cervical ripening with one agent, magnesium infusion, and reading cardiac telemetry strips. RN must also have experience caring for patients s/p fetal surgery. RN must be able to respond to unexpected deliveries/emergent deliveries and initiate resuscitation according to NRP standards. RN will respond to unstable patients to initiate emergent transfer to L&D. RN will also need to provide post op/post partum care and teaching as well as supporting NICU mothers with breast milk expression and using breast pumps. RN must be competent to monitor PPH and respond with appropriate interventions. The nurse in charge on Antepartum is expected to take a patient assignment. The nurse in charge will assist with patient flow to and from the unit, will make patient assignments within the shift and for the on-coming shift, and work collaboratively with other departments to care for patients on and off the unit, ensuring patient safety at all times. The nurse in charge will complete unit safety checks each shift.
