Job summary

The Greater Boston Food Bank seeks an Annual Giving Manager to advance donor relationships and secure gifts from its Portfolio of individuals. The role focuses on gifts between $1,000 and $10,000, aligning fundraising with direct marketing campaigns and signature events.

The position may engage with major gifts, collaborates with the Advancement team and volunteers, and requires Salesforce activity logging, travel within Massachusetts, and occasional evening or weekend work, in support of donor

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of client-facing fundraising or sales experience
• Strong interpersonal, customer service, organizational, and verbal and written communications skills
• Proven ability to build constructive relationships with donors and volunteers
• Ability to travel within Massachusetts with a valid driver’s license
• Willingness to attend evening/weekend events
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM databases (Salesforce a plus)

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of 250+ donors to secure annual gifts of $1,000–$10,000 (and multi-year pledges)
• Conduct 30–50 gift solicitations annually
• Cultivate and engage donors with regular contacts (in-person, virtual, phone)
• Apply moves management to qualify prospects and track statuses
• Collaborate with GBFB team and volunteers to support donor cultivation and events
• Record activities in Salesforce to maintain donor accounts and pipeline
• Travel within Massachusetts; some evenings and weekends as needed
• All other duties as assigned
