Job summary

Democracy Forward in Washington, DC seeks an Annual Giving Manager to design and implement a robust annual giving program, cultivate donors, and drive multi-channel fundraising strategies. You will collaborate with senior leadership and consultants to grow an upgrade program and manage stewardship toward major and principal donors.

The role requires strong project management, emotional intelligence, and the ability to adapt strategies in a fast-paced environment. Occasional travel is possible.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of progressively responsible work experience within campaign fundraising or nonprofit environments, including individual and annual gifts.
• Blackbaud certification strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to solicit gifts and manage donor pipelines.
• Experience with multi-channel donor engagement and stewardship.
• Strong written and oral communication and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Learn and maintain deep knowledge of Democracy Forward and its mission.
• Execute annual giving plan and calendar for mid-range and annual giving portfolios.
• Collaborate with marketing and development consultants to craft messaging.
• Design and manage development plans for mid-level and annual giving.
• Coordinate donor cultivation and stewardship activities and events.
• Provide regular reporting to optimize fundraising strategies.
• Maintain donor CRM data accuracy and reporting tools.
• Stay current on fundraising best practices and trends.
• Engage in regular check-ins with supervisor and consultant team.
• Other duties as assigned.
