Job summary

Netflix Series Animation (NSA) is seeking a Post Production Engineer to provide frontline support for editors and assistants, triaging hardware, software, and network issues across Avid, Premiere, and Resolve. The role requires robust experience in post facilities, remote protocols, storage management, and color/audio calibration, with IATSE Local 700 union conditions.

You will help keep editorial bays running smoothly in a fast-paced Netflix production environment.

Qualifications

• This role is an IATSE Local 700 position and will be covered by a collective bargaining agreement.
• 5–7 years of work in post production engineering or technical support within a post production facility or studio environment.
• Experience with remote protocols and troubleshooting remote desktop (PCoIP and similar).
• Practical knowledge of VPN clients, end-user home network troubleshooting, and ACLs.
• Expertise in Avid Media Composer, Pro Tools, Premiere, and related editing tools.
• ACSR certification preferred.
• Hardware knowledge: video codecs, displays, IP-based equipment, cabling.
• Avid Nexis storage, SMB, NFS, and complex permission trees.
• Cross-platform troubleshooting across MacOS, Windows, Linux; basic scripting.

Responsibilities

• Provide frontline, rapid-response support and engineering triage for editors and assistants with hardware, software, or connectivity issues.
• Experience with 2110 and NDI infrastructure and protocols.
• Maintain core post software: Avid Media Composer, Adobe Premiere, DaVinci Resolve.
• Oversee daily operations and manage shared storage accessed by post systems.
• Configure workstations, routing, color calibration for editorial displays.
• Create system diagrams and workflow guides for editorial bays.
• Assist with ingest, rendering, and data transfers for post production.
