Job summary

Charles River Laboratories in Seattle seeks an Associate Operations Specialist for Insourcing Solutions, based at the CRADL Facility. You will support animal care, training, and technical services across multiple sites in the Seattle area.

Responsibilities include daily observations, breeding assistance, data entry, and staff training. The role emphasizes client service, animal welfare, and on-the-job instruction within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED; Bachelor’s degree preferred in biology or related field.
• Experience: 2+ years in animal care and technical handling in a research setting.
• Certification: AALAS LAT required or LATG/CVT/LVT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor animal health and welfare.
• Perform daily animal health observations and husbandry duties.
• Provide environmental enrichment for species.
• Assist with breeding, weaning, and surgical procedures as needed.
• Provide client support and handle inquiries on separations and transfers.
• Attend training sessions and train staff on husbandry.
