Job summary

Charles River Insourcing Solutions seeks an experienced Operations Manager to join the CRADL facilities in Boston, MA. You will oversee daily husbandry, staff, and budgets while partnering with senior management to achieve short- and long-term goals for the CRADL organization.

Responsibilities include personnel management, client communications, site capability presentations, and leading AAALAC accreditation activities to ensure readiness and compliance with SOPs, EH&S, and biosecurity standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in animal or laboratory science, business, or related discipline.
• Eight years in a laboratory animal facility with five in management or supervision.
• AALAS LATG and/or CMAR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily husbandry and support assignments to meet standards.
• Manage personnel: mentorship, performance reviews, development and hiring processes.
• Interface with clients, participate in meetings, and support sales through site tours.
• Lead AAALAC accreditation activities and ensure readiness.
• Oversee budgets, forecasting, and financial impact of client plans.
• Lead internal and client audits and ensure SOPs and safety compliance.
• Partner with veterinary team for animal welfare and biosecurity compliance.
