Job summary

Charles River Insourcing Solutions in Cambridge, MA is seeking an Animal Care Technician to join our Insourcing Solutions team. You will perform routine animal husbandry tasks to support research operations, including feeding and watering laboratory animals, cleaning cages, and maintaining animal care environments in the CRADL facility.

Responsibilities include animal handling, health monitoring, cage washing, log maintenance, and adherence to SOPs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BA/BS in animal or life sciences preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle, transfer, and deliver animals and equipment as needed.
• Maintain animal health and welfare with routine observations.
• Operate cage washers and autoclaves for sterilization.
• Maintain QA documentation and logs.
• Perform humane euthanasia following guidelines.
• Communicate training needs to supervisors.
