Job summary

Charles River Laboratories in Cambridge, MA invites an experienced Facility Supervisor to join the Insourcing Solutions team at CRADL. The role oversees daily husbandry, study support, staffing, and QA inspections to maintain high standards of animal care and client service.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, a bachelor’s in animal or life sciences, and LATG or ICPMS CS certification preferred. Salary ranges from $90K–$100K with weekday schedule and occasional weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in animal or life sciences preferred.
• LATG or CS certification preferred.
• Minimum four years in a laboratory animal facility with supervisory or lead tech experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan and monitor work schedules for staff daily husbandry and study support.
• Supervise animal care staff including hiring and coaching.
• Monitor staff performance and report health concerns promptly.
• Communicate with clients and manage multiple tasks to ensure smooth operations.
• Provide husbandry or technical backup on dosing and injections.
• Inspect housing systems and coordinate animal movement within the facility.
