Job summary

The Salvation Army, Tuscaloosa Al Corps, is seeking a part-time volunteer coordinator to support the Christmas Angel Tree program. The role involves recruiting and training volunteers, posting listings, and coordinating staffing across distribution centers.

You will maintain volunteer records, report on program metrics, and collaborate with sponsors to prepare necessary materials. A high school diploma and valid driver's license are required, with prior office experience preferred.

Qualifications

High School diploma or G.E.D. required.
Two years experience working in an office environment.
Valid drivers license required.

Responsibilities

Interviews, recruits, screens and selects volunteers for the Christmas Angel Tree Program.
Posts listing of volunteers at Malls to ensure staffing at all times.
Maintain names of volunteers at the Christmas Distribution Center in a book to be kept current at all times.
Call and recruit volunteers if a time slot is not filled, reviewing the previous years list of names and numbers.
Maintain the statistics, placement and follow-up for all Angels at all locations.
Assist with an Appreciation Program for the Christmas Program employees and volunteers at season end.
Contact Corporate Sponsors on the number of angels they require, preparing materials and angels for delivery.
