Job summary

Qualifications

• To qualify, must meet basic requirements and any additional listed in the job announcement.
• U.S. Citizenship is required; non-citizens may be appointed only when VA policy permits.
• MD or DO from an approved school and a current unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia services at all locations where surgeries and procedures are performed.
• Formulate anesthesia plans and manage perioperative care.
• Supervise and educate medical and paramedical personnel in anesthesia, respiratory, and critical care.
• Engage in quality improvement efforts and maintain comprehensive documentation.
