Job summary

The MetroHealth System in Cleveland, OH, is seeking a Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant to join its Anesthesia Care Team (ACT). CAAs collaborate with staff anesthesiologists, SAAs, residents, CRNAs and SRNAs to provide high-quality perioperative anesthesia care across procedures.

You will participate in case management, education, clinical research, and contribute to innovative practice within a健康-focused hospital system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with prerequisite premedical undergraduate science background is required.
• Graduation from a CAAHEP-accredited anesthesia assistant program.
• Current Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) certification and NCCAA recertification as applicable.
• Current CAA licensure from the state medical board.
• ACLS & BLS certifications currently active.
• Demonstrates current competency in the clinical responsibilities specified below.

Responsibilities

• Perform a pre-anesthetic assessment, discuss anesthetic management, and administer anesthesia under supervision.
• Assemble, prepare, and test needed supplies, equipment and monitors prior to an anesthetic.
• Selects, obtains and administers the anesthetic plan of care including induction, maintenance and emergence.

Education

Bachelor's degree with prerequisite premedical undergraduate science background

CAAHEP-accredited anesthesia assistant education program

Current CAA Certification

Current CAA Licensure from the Ohio State Medical Board

ACLS & BLS Certifications

Demonstrates competency in clinical responsibilities
