Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Weston Hospital is seeking a Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) to join our Anesthesiology-Weston Hospital department. The role involves performing pre-anesthetic evaluations, developing care plans, and administering anesthesia under supervision.

This position supports a collegial team including CAAs, CRNAs, and MDAs. Most CAAs work 12-hour shifts with no weekday call or night work.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Anesthetist Program.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Demonstrates knowledge of infection control practices.
• Cognizant of the physical and general characteristics of age-related patient groups.

Responsibilities

• Performs pre-anesthetic evaluation of patients, writes notes in chart, orders and evaluates labs.
• Formulates anesthetic care plan based on current concepts and principles; explains procedures and answers questions.
• Writes preoperative notes and maintains accurate anesthesia records; ensures confidentiality.

Education
