Job summary

Mercy Hospital in Canton, Ohio, part of Cleveland Clinic, seeks Anesthesiologist Assistants to join a collaborative anesthesia team working across general surgery, orthopedics, neurology and more in a 15-operating room facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited institution.
• Certification by the National Commission for Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants.
• Current, valid certificate of registration.
• BLS and ACLS required.

Responsibilities

• Obtains comprehensive patient history and performs relevant elements of a physical exam.
• Discusses findings and anesthetic plan with supervising anesthesiologist before induction.
• Reviews patient condition prior to induction of anesthesia.
• Pretests and calibrates anesthesia delivery systems.
• Administers blood products and fluids as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
