The role you’ll contribute:

Performs specific tasks or routines supportive of patient care in the assigned unit under the direction of a Registered Nurse, in accordance with standards.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

• Assists in positioning, lifting, and restraining patients using appropriate safety precautions and body mechanics.
• Transports patients to and from procedure areas, observing proper safety techniques.
• Informs the appropriate nurse of requests, problems, or concerns related to the patient or perioperative environment.
• Provides for patients’ needs based on diagnosis, age, and cultural background, caring for patients of all ages from newborns to geriatrics.
• Assists anesthesia professional staff under the direction of anesthesiologists or CRNAs with preparation of patients and equipment for procedures, including pulmonary artery catheters, central venous access, arterial lines, spinal/regional anesthesia, IV fluids, pressure monitoring lines, and intubation equipment. Familiar with the ASA Difficult Airway Algorithm.

Qualifications

The expertise and experience you’ll need to succeed:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification.
