Job summary

Ascension Cedar Park Medical Center is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to support licensed anesthesia providers in Cedar Park, TX. The role involves patient assessment, positioning, airway management, and instrument setup for daily, urgent, and emergent procedures.

The position requires a HS diploma with experience or an Associate's/Technical degree, or equivalent related experience. Benefits and growth opportunities are included.

Qualifications

• Minimum education as listed: HS diploma with experience OR technical/Associate degree OR 4 years related job experience.
• Experience with anesthesia equipment and supplies is preferred.
• Ability to assist licensed anesthesia providers and maintain sterile technique.

Responsibilities

• Assist anesthesia providers with patient assessment, positioning, transport, airway management, and monitoring.
• Prepare and position equipment for scheduled, urgent, and emergent cases.
• Clean, sanitize, and assemble anesthesia instruments and machinery between procedures.
• Perform daily equipment care and resolve malfunctions promptly.
• Monitor stock levels of anesthesia supplies and equipment.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Assist licensed anesthesia providers with patient assessment, positioning, transport, airway management, insertion of lines, and continuous monitoring.
• Prepare clinical supplies and set up properly positioned, fully functional equipment for scheduled, urgent, and emergent cases.
• Clean, sanitize, and assemble all specialized anesthesia instruments and machinery between procedures.
• Perform daily equipment care, inspect functionality, and resolve technical malfunctions promptly.
• Monitor and maintain stock levels of all required anesthesia supplies, drugs, and operational equipment.

Education

What minimum requirements you’ll need

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Additional Preferences

• 3 + years anesthesia tech experience
• Monday-Friday | 6:30am-3:00pm
