Job summary

Ascension Medical Group Seton Orthopedics – North Austin is seeking an Occupational Therapy Rehab Professional for a PRN role in Austin, TX. The position requires evaluating musculoskeletal and neurological responses to guide treatment and developing tailored plans, including orthotics fabrication and rehabilitation techniques.

You will educate patients and families about deficits and participate in discharge planning from therapy services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Master's degree preferred.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Administer and evaluate tests of musculoskeletal, neurological and physiological responses to determine functioning.
• Develop appropriate treatment plans based on an patient evaluation.
• Design and fabricate orthotics and adaptive equipment. Initiate and perform treatments through the use of exercise, manual therapy, physical agents and rehabilitation.
• Educate the patient and family/caregiver about patient deficits. Plan and/or assist with patient discharge from therapy services and treatment setting.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Rehab Therapist specializing in Occupational Therapy credentialed from the obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Master's degree preferred.
