Job summary

UCI Health is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to support anesthesiologists with monitoring line placement, intubations, and related procedures. You will maintain, order, and stock anesthesia supplies, and perform first-line maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment.

You will collaborate with the OR Manager and Biomedical Engineering to ensure all equipment is current, safe, clean, and properly maintained, with adherence to expiration dates.

Qualifications

• Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
• Demonstrated experience in a Level I Trauma Center or fast-paced OR environment.
• Basic math skills to perform simple calculations.
• Availability to rotate shifts, take call and work weekends.
• Ability to speak, read and follow directions in English.

Responsibilities

• Assist anesthesiologists with placement of patient monitoring lines and difficult intubations.
• Maintain, order, and stock anesthesia supplies and equipment; provide first-line equipment maintenance, calibrations, and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with Anesthesia, OR Manager, and Biomedical Engineering to ensure equipment and supplies are up-to-date, available, well maintained and clean.
