Job summary

UCI Health is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to assist anesthesiologists with monitoring lines and intubations, and to maintain and stock supplies and equipment. You will coordinate with the OR and Biomedical engineering to ensure all gear is calibrated, dated, clean, and ready for use.

The role requires the ability to work under pressure, strong organization, and experience in a Level I Trauma Center or fast-paced OR.

Qualifications

• The ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
• Demonstrated experience working in a Level I Trauma Center or a fast paced OR environment.
• Basic mathematical skills to quickly and accurately perform calculations.
• Availability to rotate shifts, take call and work weekends.
• Ability to speak, read and follow directions in English.

Responsibilities

• Assists anesthesiologists with placement of patient monitoring lines and intubations.
• Maintains, orders, and stocks anesthesia supplies and equipment.
• Provides first line equipment maintenance, calibrations, and troubleshooting.
• Collaborates with Anesthesia, OR Manager, and Biomedical engineering to ensure equipment is up-to-date and clean.
