Job summary

UCI Health in Irvine, CA is seeking an Anesthesia Tech to assist anesthesiologists with the placement of monitoring lines and difficult intubations, and to support invasive and noninvasive procedures as appropriate.

You will maintain, stock, and calibrate anesthesia supplies and equipment, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with the anesthesia team, the OR Manager, and Biomedical Engineering to ensure all gear is up-to-date, available, and clean.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Level I Trauma Center or fast-paced OR environment.
• Ability to quickly and accurately perform math calculations.
• Willingness to rotate shifts and work weekends; strong English communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist anesthesiologists with placement of monitoring lines and difficult intubations.
• Support invasive and noninvasive procedures as appropriate.
• Maintain, order, and stock anesthesia supplies and equipment.
• Provide first-line equipment maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with Anesthesia, OR Manager, and Biomedical Engineering to ensure equipment is current, well maintained, and clean.
