Job summary

UCI Health in Irvine seeks an Anesthesia Tech to support anesthesiologists with patient monitoring lines, intubations, and various invasive or noninvasive procedures. You will maintain, order, and stock anesthesia supplies, perform basic equipment maintenance, and collaborate with OR leadership and Biomedical Engineering to keep equipment ready and compliant.

This role requires flexibility to float across UCI Health locations and willingness to rotate shifts, including on-call and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must work quickly and accurately under pressure.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.
• Willingness to float between UCI Health locations as needed.
• Basic math skills to perform manual or calculator-based calculations.
• Ability to rotate shifts, take calls and work weekends.
• English reading and speaking proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Assist anesthesiologists with placement of patient monitoring lines and intubations.
• Maintain, order, and stock anesthesia supplies and equipment.
• Provide first-line equipment maintenance, calibrations, and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with OR Manager and Biomedical Engineering to ensure equipment is within expiration dates and well maintained.
