Job summary

UNM Hospital in Albuquerque is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to expedite, procure, assemble and maintain anesthesia equipment and supplies, ensuring readiness for surgeries and patient safety across neonatal to geriatric ages. Under supervision of anesthesia providers, you will stock carts, manage the workroom inventory, assist with sterile technique, and help with invasive monitoring setup, while adhering to hospital policies and procedures.

The role is full-time with rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Vocational or technical training preferred.
• Post-high-school education related to field.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish or Native languages advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Stock anesthesia carts with supplies for line insertion and airway management.
• Maintain inventory and organization of the anesthesia workroom.
• Assist with room preparation and turnover by removing soiled supplies and equipment.
• Prepare and assist with specialized equipment and medications as directed.
• Assist with placement of invasive monitoring lines under supervision.
• Follow patient safety policies and report potential safety concerns.
• Identify and report environmental conditions that may put patients at risk.
