Job summary

UNC Health Care Anesthesia Support seeks a dedicated Anesthesia Technician to ensure anesthesia equipment and supplies are ready for every case. You will work closely with anesthesiologists, CRNAs, CAAs and perioperative staff in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.

You will gain specialized expertise in anesthesia technology, patient safety, equipment troubleshooting, and perioperative operations while contributing to patients’ surgical experiences across UNC Health.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Anesthesia Technician program or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist anesthesia care team with monitoring devices and patient transport.
• Prepare fluids and setups with sterile technique.
• Maintain safety and infection prevention practices in the OR.
• Anticipate equipment needs and restock supplies as needed.
• Support readiness of anesthesia machines, circuits and monitors.
