Job summary

UNC Health in Chapel Hill is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to join the Anesthesia Support team. You will work with anesthesiologists, CRNAs, CAAs, Residents, and perioperative staff to ensure equipment, supplies, and technology are ready for every case.

Schedule: Monday–Friday 5:30 AM–2 PM. You will support safe patient care, assist with equipment setup, sterile technique, specimen handling, and provide aid during all phases of anesthesia care, contributing to patient safety and efficient

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Anesthesia Technician program or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support certification required.
• High School diploma/GED allows trainee path with OR exposure.

Responsibilities

• Assist with invasive and non-invasive monitoring devices and patient positioning throughout all anesthesia phases.
• Prepare fluids and setups, maintain sterile technique, and document equipment readiness.
• Set up, calibrate and troubleshoot anesthesia equipment; perform 12-point inspections.
• Ensure operating rooms are ready with properly stocked anesthesia supplies and equipment.
