Job summary

University Medical Center, Inc. is seeking an anesthesia technician to support the anesthesia team in acquiring, preparing, and applying equipment for safe anesthesia administration.

You will assist with monitoring devices, delivery systems, medicines, and supplies before, during, and after cases. The role involves maintaining inventory, cleaning and stocking rooms, and helping with complex line placement as directed by anesthesia staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; college courses in anatomy/physiology/microbiology preferred.
• Prior anesthesia tech or patient-care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs ordering of anesthesia supplies and prepares equipment for operating rooms.
• Maintains equipment in proper working order and stocks surgical rooms.
• Assists anesthesia provider and responds to turnover between cases promptly.
• Responds to alarm systems and troubleshoots equipment issues.
• Assists with blood product handling, ABG tests, and IV/A-line setup.
