Job summary

The Anesthesia Technician role at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown, KY is a full-time position working 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM in the Operating Room and Labor & Delivery. You will troubleshoot and diagnose equipment, perform preventive maintenance, stock and clean anesthesia carts, and assist providers by preparing supplies.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED; preferred experience in a related specialty.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Recent experience in specialty preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment problems on gas analyzers, monitors, and anesthesia machines.
• Performs basic preventive maintenance on anesthesia machines, gas analyzers, and monitors.
• Stocks and cleans all anesthesia carts, machines, and monitors in the Operating Room and Labor & Delivery.
• Sets up IV lines and arterial lines as directed by the anesthesia provider.
• Assists anesthesia providers by ordering supplies and keeping the workroom clean.
• Participates as a member of the surgical team to optimize room turnaround time.

We are currently seeking a dedicated Anesthesia Technician to join our team at Baptist Health Hardin. In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment problems on the gas analyzers, monitors, and anesthesia machines and performs basic preventive maintenance on anesthesia machines, gas analyzers, and monitors. Stocks and cleans all anesthesia carts, machines, and monitors in the Operating Room and Labor & Delivery surgical suites at the beginning and end of each work period. Sets up IV lines (without medications), arterial lines, as directed by Anesthesia provider. Assists anesthesia providers by ordering supplies and keeping anesthesia workroom clean. Performs as a member of the surgical team in optimizing room turnaround time.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent (GED).

Preferred Requirements

Recent experience in specialty.
