Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Worcester, MA, is seeking an Anesthesia Technician with leadership responsibilities to manage daily department operations and supervise technical staff. You will ensure proper assembly and functioning of anesthesia equipment and support residents and operating room teams.

The role requires an Associate’s Degree in Healthcare, ASATT certification, and 3+ years as an Anesthesia Technician, with 5 years in high-risk OR settings preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Healthcare or equivalent experience.
• ASATT anesthesia certification required.
• Minimum three years as an Anesthesia Technician.
• Five years OR experience in high-risk cases preferred.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient daily operation of the department including staffing and budgeting.
• Provide direct technical support for anesthesia equipment and lab tests.
• Oversee in-services and training for residents.
• Lead cross-functional teams to ensure department goals.
• Develop and revise policies to guide service delivery.
