Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking an experienced Anesthesia Technician Supervisor to manage daily department operations, staffing and equipment. The role requires ensuring high quality care, safety compliance and cross-functional collaboration within a busy OR environment.

The position emphasizes leadership, staff development, and adherence to Lean principles while supporting anesthetic delivery systems and related equipment.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent experience in healthcare or business required.
• ASATT anesthesia certification required.
• Minimum 3 years as an anesthesia technician.
• Minimum 5 years OR experience with high-risk cases (cardiac, transplant, trauma).
• Demonstrates leadership and effective communication across hospital staff.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient daily department operation, staffing, supplies, workflow and budget.
• Monitor staff competence and continuing education participation.
• Lead goals and priorities aligned with system objectives.
• Develop, implement and revise departmental policies and objectives.
• Oversee anesthesia equipment setup and support during procedures.
