Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Worcester, MA, seeks a perioperative Services leader for the Operating Room. The role plans, directs, and optimizes the OR schedule in collaboration with OR Service Group Managers, surgeons, and anesthesiology, ensuring on-time starts for elective and urgent cases.

Requirements include a BSN, MA RN license, CNOR, BLS/CPR, and at least 3 years in an OR, with demonstrated leadership and strong communication.

Qualifications

• BSN required and MA RN license.
• CNOR credentialing and BLS/CPR certification required.
• Minimum 3 years of OR experience and leadership potential.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Construct assignments with OR Service Group Managers based on patient, surgeon, and anesthesiology requirements.
• Monitor on-time case starts for elective and urgent cases.
• Maintain active communication among surgeons, anesthesiology staff, nursing, sterile processing, and other departments.
• Maintain daily elective schedule and address urgent schedule access.
• Review future schedules and coordinate with OR Managers and Anesthesiologists.
