Job summary

STG Inc in Anchorage, AK, seeks a Project Estimator to identify bidding opportunities, prepare cost estimates, and lead preconstruction activities across Alaska. You will manage quantity takeoffs, labor and material pricing, and subcontractor evaluation with Project Managers.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction and four years of related experience. HeavyBid familiarity is a plus; strong Excel skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction.
• Four years of related project management or estimating experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and estimating software.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and track potential bidding opportunities with Business Development and PMs.
• Review RFP packages and participate in client discussions to clarify scope.
• Prepare complete cost estimates including labor, materials, and equipment.
• Lead quantity takeoffs, pricing analysis, and subcontractor quotes.
• Develop budgets aligned with estimate parameters and support change orders.
