Qualifications
- Certification as a Pathologists' Assistant (PA) within 1 year by ASCP.
- Completion of a certified Pathology Assistant program.
- Relevant work experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing, grossly describing, and dissecting human surgical specimens.
- Support frozen section evaluations by gross examinations, tissue selection, cryotomy, and staining.
- Conduct human postmortem examinations with specimen dissection and documentation; collaborate with pathologists to ensure safety.
