Job summary

Cityblock Health is seeking an Analytics Lead to guide data products across squads, raising engineering standards and defining the single source of truth for metrics.

You will collaborate with engineering, data science, and product, mentor analysts, and drive AI-enabled analytics adoption across the clinical and operations teams. This role emphasizes influence over formal authority and data-driven impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of analytics or analytics-engineering delivering scalable solutions in production.
• Strong expertise in dbt, complex SQL, and cloud data warehouses (BigQuery / Looker preferred).
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining semantic layers / metrics frameworks.
• Proven fluency with Git / GitHub and CI/CD workflows, plus demonstrated use of AI-assisted development tools.
• Track record of mentoring analysts and establishing standards.

Responsibilities

• Architect and lead hands-on development of analytics and reporting solutions for a squad's domain; own semantic definitions and metrics as the single source of truth.
• Partner with engineering, data science, and product on shared architecture and data contracts.
• Build durable partnerships with clinical, operational, and research leaders; measure and communicate results to business leaders.
• Champion AI-enabled development and conversational-analytics workflows for the squad; establish patterns and drive adoption.
• Own and maintain a domain analytics roadmap with your manager; ship self-serve, well-documented data products with high adoption.
• Mentor Specialists and Senior Specialists to raise the squad's technical bar; lead through influence with no formal authority.
