Job summary

Dow in Illinois seeks an Associate Analytical Technician to support manufacturing by performing laboratory analyses, preparing samples, and maintaining instruments. You will report results to production personnel, including operators and engineers, and follow established SOPs.

The role requires 12-hour rotating shifts, a High School Diploma or chemistry-related degree, and the ability to work legally in the United States; relocation is not provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Willingness to work 12-hour, rotating shifts.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.
• U.S. work authorization; no visa sponsorship provided.

Responsibilities

• Trains to perform routine analyses under supervision until proficient.
• Collects samples per Sample Plan.
• Performs basic preventive maintenance of analytical systems.
• Evaluates data validity for routine analyses and takes action.
• Monitors analytical systems and escalates issues as needed.
• Documents and archives analytical results and data.
• Follows EH&S and ODMS procedures for tasks.
• Suggests improvements to lab work processes and tools.
• Escalates non-routine requests for follow-up.
• Performs lab housekeeping and restocking inventory.
• Processes shipping paperwork.
