Job summary

The CPUC is seeking two creative and analytical student assistants to help resolve complex governmental problems in the Communications Division. The student assistant will assist with special projects across units of the division.

This role offers hands-on experience with government guidelines, data analysis, and presenting ideas while gaining stakeholder cooperation in day-to-day work. It is a part-time, non-benefited UEI position in California.

Qualifications

• Must be a college student attending classes during the term.
• Ability to analyze and resolve complex governmental problems.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist hiring managers with scheduling interviews and recruitment activities.
• Provide administrative support to units within the Communications Division.
• Process and maintain resolutions and update SharePoint pages.
• Coordinate external job postings with Talent and post positions online.
• Track probation reports and performance summaries and send reminders.
