Levi Strauss & Co. is seeking a Marketplace Insights Analyst to translate consumer and marketplace data into clear business insights. You will partner with Global Marketing, Strategy, Creative, and Marketplace Insights teams to ground campaigns and brand initiatives in consumer needs and cultural trends.

The role is hybrid in San Francisco, reporting to the Sr. Manager of Marketing Insights. Expect to analyze trends, run qualitative and quantitative research and deliver decision-ready insights

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Psychology, Business, Economics, Sociology, Statistics, Analytics, or a related field.
  • 0-4 years of experience in consumer insights, market analytics, consulting, brand strategy, or related discipline.
  • Working knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods and an interest in consumer behavior.
  • Proficiency with AI-enabled research and productivity tools with quality-control practices.

  • Support defined qualitative and quantitative research workstreams from framing to activation.
  • Analyze consumer, cultural, brand, and marketplace trends to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Translate data into actionable recommendations for partners.

  • Summarize findings from proprietary and syndicated data, social listening, and internal data.

Find your fit - and your future. We are looking for an Marketplace Insights Analyst to join the Global Marketplace Insights team at Levi Strauss & Co. In this collaborative role, you will help inform and inspire consumer-centric marketing decisions by translating consumer and marketplace data into clear, applicable business insights. You will partner closely with Global Marketing, Strategy, Creative, and Marketplace Insights colleagues to ensure campaigns, messaging, and brand initiatives are grounded in a deep understanding of consumer needs, attitudes, behaviors, and cultural trends. This role is ideal for a curious, analytically strong individual who enjoys combining research and storytelling to influence brand growth. You will report to the Sr. Manager of Marketing Insights.

About the Job
  • Consumer & Marketplace Research Support and, with appropriate guidance, own defined qualitative and quantitative research workstreams, from business-question framing and research design through analysis, synthesis and activation.
  • Analyze consumer, cultural, brand, and marketplace trends to identify business opportunities and risks.
  • Translate data into clear, applicable recommendations for partners.
  • Use AI-enabled research and productivity tools to accelerate insight generation, synthesis, reporting, and knowledge management while maintaining appropriate human review and quality control.
  • Summarize findings from proprietary research, syndicated data, social listening, secondary research, and internal data.
  • Campaign & Marketing Effectiveness Support campaign concept testing, message and tagline testing, creative evaluation, and post-campaign learning.
  • Partner with Global Marketing teams to understand consumer response to brand plans and activations.
  • Help develop learning agendas for seasonal campaigns, brand projects, and priorities.
  • Consumer Council & Community Engagement Manage Consumer Council operations, including participant engagement, session planning, recruiting coordination, facilitation, and reporting.
  • Surface ongoing consumer feedback and new opportunities for partners.
  • Convert direct consumer input into concise, grounded, and applicable recommendations.
  • Social Listening & Cultural Trends Analyze social conversation, cultural trends, competitive activity, and latest issues to identify opportunities, risks, and possible effects for Levi's brand, marketing, and business strategy.
  • Develop recurring reports and executive-ready summaries of brand performance, cultural signals, and competitive activity.
  • Help integrate social and cultural insights into brand planning and campaign development.
  • Reporting & Insights Activation Develop recurring dashboards, trackers, templates, and reporting deliverables.
  • Prepare compelling presentations for senior leaders, Global Marketing, and partners.
  • Support adoption and understanding of Marketplace Insights tools, resources, and best practices across the organization.
  • Manage defined data requests and respond to ad hoc business questions with managerial guidance.
  • Project & Partner Management Coordinate research timelines, inputs, and deliverables to ensure insights arrive in time to shape decisions.
  • Support external agency and vendor relationships, including project setup, fieldwork coordination, quality control, and synthesis.
  • Identify practical process improvements that increase the efficiency, consistency, and influence of the team's work.
About You
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Psychology, Business, Economics, Sociology, Statistics, Analytics, or a related field.
  • 0-4 years of experience in consumer insights, market analytics, consulting, brand strategy, or a related discipline.
  • Working knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods and an interest in consumer behavior.
  • Proficiency with AI-enabled research, and productivity tools and apply appropriate validation and quality-control practices to ensure insight accuracy.
  • Make complex findings understandable.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel; experience with data visualization tools is preferred.
  • Experience with social listening, survey research, consumer panels, syndicated data, brand health, campaign testing, or segmentation.

  • Identify meaningful consumer, cultural, and marketplace signals and explain why they matter.
  • Influence marketing decisions through clear evidence and applicable recommendations.
  • Build trusted working relationships with Global Marketing and team members.
  • Help strengthen LSCo's consumer-centric culture through engaging, rigorous insight storytelling.

This is a hybrid work schedule based in our San Francisco, CA headquarters. You will be expected in office 3 days per week typically Tuesday-Thursday. Note, time in office can vary depending on our needs.

The expected starting salary range for this role is $81,000 - $112,000 per year. We may pay more or less than the posted range based on the location of the role. The amount a particular employee will earn within the salary range will be based on factors such as relevant education, qualifications, performance and business needs.
