Job summary

Levi Strauss & Co. in San Francisco is seeking an Assistant Designer to focus on Denim Bottoms for the Levi's Men’s brand.

You will design creative, commercially-viable products and support the brand's look by collaborating with a Senior Designer and cross-functional teams. You’ll leverage Denim expertise and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, PLM) while building seasonal platforms and supporting fit, fabric and trims.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design or related field.
• 2+ years of design experience in the apparel category.
• Denim experience.
• Creative Suite knowledge, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Reader, PowerPoint, and PLM.
• Experience with design process.
• Solid flat sketching skills, good design and color sense.
• Experience with product construction (e.g., finishes, fabrics, hardware, stitches, and safety requirements).
• Knowledge of fit model and standard measurements.

Responsibilities

• Sustain the development, evolution and communication of a brand look that supports the brand identity.
• Assist one or more designers to build the design process components to achieve targets for the seasonal calendar, assortment plan and source location requirements.
• Support fit, fabric, finish, sundries and trim developments.
• Contribute to the development of seasonal design platforms and concepts by identifying consumer relevant opportunities through market research.
• Sustain partnerships with Merchandising, Product Development and Sourcing to ensure products are engineered to profit and quality/aesthetic goal.
• Work with GTM timelines, processes and deliverables
• Create detailed garment sketches in Adobe Illustrator.

This is a hybrid work schedule based in our San Francisco, CA headquarters. You will be expected in office 3 days per week typically Tuesday-Thursday. Note, time in office can vary depending on our needs.

The expected starting salary range for this role is $70,000 - $101,000 per year. We may pay more or less than the posted range based on the location of the role. The amount a particular employee will earn within the salary range will be based on factors such as relevant education, qualifications, performance and business needs.
