The Office of Human Rights (OHR) is seeking a seasoned Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Investigator that will serve as the Lead EEO Investigator in the Department of State Hospitals (DSH) Office of Human Rights (OHR). Reporting to the Supervisor I, the Lead EEO Investigator will independently conduct timely investigations regarding high priority and complex EEO allegations of discrimination, harassment and retaliation, and respond to complaints filed with external agencies such as the Civil Rights Department and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. In the role the Lead EEO Investigator will develop investigative work plan; coordinate and conduct fact-finding interviews with complainant, witnesses and respondent; gather and analyze evidence; and prepare comprehensive investigative reports. The Lead EEO Investigator will also assist OHR Management with training and mentoring staff at the Analyst II and I classifications; develop and provide EEO-related training to DSH staff; and contribute to EEO policy development and procedural improvements. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of Title VII, ADA, and FEHA, experience conducting investigations, be flexible, have excellent time management skills and superior interpersonal skills.
