QUEST DIAGNOSTICS INC seeks an Epic HIM Identity Analyst II to design, build, and maintain the Epic HIM application, including Identity modules, and to support users with issue resolution and testing. The role partners with clinical and operational teams to optimize workflows and enhance the patient information lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of HIM/Identity experience.
• Active Epic Identity and HIM certifications.
• College degree in CS/IS or equivalent.
• Preferred: Resolute/Prelude/Cadence certifications.

Responsabilités

• Lead analysis, design, build, and optimization of complex Epic HIM workflows, focusing on Identity and Release of Information.
• Serve as the application lead for medium to large projects including upgrades and new features.
• Escalate complex issues and perform root-cause analysis on the EMPI and HIM functions.
• Collaborate with clinical and operational leadership to translate requirements into scalable system solutions.
• Provide mentorship and QA for other analysts; architect advanced HIM workflows and master patient index strategy.

Job Description

Health Information Management (HIM) and Identify Analyst is responsible for complex design, build, and maintenance of Epic HIM application including Identify module. This role contributes to system configuration, troubleshooting and end user support. The Analyst II will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to analyze workflows, resolve system issues, and contribute to the overall enhancement of Epic System and user experience. They provide support by correcting issues that arise from customer usage, identifying necessary configuration changes, supporting related systems, creating detailed test cases, contributing to testing and results analysis, and documenting all systems changes. Epic Analyst plays a crucial role in integrating systems and Epic applications, to create cohesive value chain solutions. They enhance product life-cycle management by understanding and optimizing system workflows.

Responsibilities

• Independently leads the analysis, design, build, and optimization of complex Epic HIM workflows, with a focus on Identity and Release of Information

• Serves as the application lead for medium to large-sized projects, including upgrades and new feature rollouts
• Acts as the primary escalation point for complex technical issues and performs in-depth root cause analysis on the EMPI and other HIM functions
• Partners with clinical and operational leadership to translate business requirements into scalable and efficient system solutions
• Provides technical guidance, mentorship, and quality assurance for other analysts' work
• Architects advanced HIM and Identity workflows and contributes to the overall strategy for the master patient index

Qualifications

• Required:
  • 6+ years of experience in HIM, Identity application
  • Excellent attention to detail including verbal communication and documentation skills
• Preferred:
  • Experience in Gallery Application
  • Experience in Laboratory/Diagnostics industry
  • Experience integrating 3rd party systems

Work Environment

• Work requires handling light and simple weight material and equipment. Visual activity requires the ability to tolerate prolonged periods of close computer screens. Work requires speed, accuracy and adeptness to operate in system application. Fast-paced work environment. After hours, weekend and holiday work will occasionally be required as determined by the Application Mgr to support software/hardware patches, upgrades, downtimes and potential disasters.

• Active Epic certification in Identity and Health Information Management (HIM) Certifications (Required)
• Resolute, Prelude and Cadence certification a plus (Preferred)
