Responsibilities

• Support high-impact risk management and transformation initiatives, including risk remediation programs, RCSA, and strategic change efforts.
• Partner with business, technology, governance, and Control Management stakeholders to identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks.
• Drive governance routines, milestone and status tracking, dependency coordination, and executive reporting.
• Analyze emerging risk themes, assessment results, and control effectiveness to identify vulnerabilities and recommend risk reduction opportunities.
• Develop actionable insights and presentations that inform decision-making and strengthen risk management practices.
• Leverage AI-enabled tools and emerging technologies to enhance analysis, accelerate execution, improve decision-making, and increase risk management effectiveness.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in risk management, project/program management, audit, governance, consulting, compliance, or a related field

• Excellent program management and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate work across multiple stakeholders and functions
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information, identify trends, evaluate risks, and develop actionable recommendations
• Experience working within structured governance environments and navigating processes that align with policies, regulatory requirements, and operational standards
• Demonstrated learning agility, intellectual curiosity, and growth mindset, with a willingness to challenge conventional thinking, embrace new technologies, continuously develop new skills, and adapt to evolving business priorities
• Employment eligibility to work with American Express in the United States is required; the company will not pursue visa sponsorship
