Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Technology Risk & Control Analyst to support modernization efforts through data analysis, reporting, and visualization. You will design dashboards and scorecards to illuminate technology risks, controls, issues and KPIs, and help build data-driven monitoring and measurement processes.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Risk Management or Financial Services industry experience
• 2+ years of Technology / Cybersecurity Risk Management experience
• Experience creating dashboards and visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, Qlik Sense, or similar BI tools
• Knowledge of data analysis and reporting techniques including trend analysis, KPI/KRI development, and performance measurement
• Interest in emerging technologies including data analytics and Generative AI
• Ability to leverage Generative AI to provide efficiencies in processes / analysis with guardrails
• Basic to intermediate experience with SQL, Python, Power Query, or other analytical tools
• Understanding of technology risk management, operational risk management, controls, or audit practices
• Exposure to technology governance, risk and compliance frameworks
• Experience performing data reconciliation, data quality analysis and validation activities
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Ability to communicate insights through effective visual storytelling and executive-ready presentations
• Experience working with large datasets and translating complex information into actionable recommendations
• Understanding of automation concepts and modern control monitoring practices
• Knowledge of banking, financial services, or regulatory environments

Responsibilities

• Support Technology Controls Modernization initiatives through data analysis, reporting, and visualization activities
• Develop and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and reporting solutions providing insights into technology risks, controls, issues, and key performance indicators
• Assist in designing and implementing risk monitoring and control measurement processes using data-driven methodologies
• Analyze risk and control data to identify trends, emerging risks, control weaknesses, and process improvement opportunities
• Perform data collection, validation, reconciliation, and quality reviews
• Translate complex risk and control data into meaningful visualizations and presentations for technical and non-technical audiences
• Collaborate with technology teams, control managers, and business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and deliver actionable insights
• Research and evaluate emerging technologies, data sources, and visualization techniques
• Participate in control-related projects and initiatives while building subject matter expertise in Technology Risk and Control Management
• Create documentation, reporting procedures, and analytical methodologies supporting sustainable and repeatable control management practices

Requirements
