Six Flags is seeking a Ride Maintenance Mechanic in Virginia to inspect, maintain, troubleshoot and rehabilitate a variety of amusement rides. The role emphasizes safe operation, precise documentation, and high-quality repairs across gearboxes, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, chains and bearings.

Responsibilities include inspections, corrective actions, and coordination with teams to ensure guest safety and operational readiness at all times.

Qualifications

• 2 to 4 years of verifiable experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in an industrial or amusement setting.
• Familiarity with bearings, bushings, couplers, shafting and related power transmission components.
• Knowledge of pneumatic or hydraulic system fundamentals (preferably both).
• Ability to work safely at heights up to 300 feet and endure a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily, weekly, monthly, annual inspections and preventive maintenance on amusement rides and related equipment.
• Repair or replace major components such as gears, chains, sprockets, hydraulic/pneumatic cylinders, brakes and bearings.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems and take corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate service records and comply with safety regulations and company procedures.
