Job summary

Six Flags Entertainment Corporation in California is seeking a skilled Ride Mechanic to perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and overhauls on amusement park rides under our IAMAW contract.

You will troubleshoot mechanical systems, work with hydraulics, gearboxes, pneumatics, conveyors, and millwright tasks, and be prepared for track and structure inspections, plus shifts including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must possess basic knowledge of machinery components.
• Valid California Driver's License and HS Diploma or GED.
• A basic set of hand tools.
• Ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
• Ability to perform physical activities, such as climbing, crawling, and lifting.
• Vocational or technical trade certifications.
• Demonstrate English communication skills (reading, writing, and speaking) and keep written records.

Responsibilities

• Performing preventative maintenance, repairs, and overhauls of amusement park rides and devices. Must also be willing and able to perform and/or assist in other Park repairs and maintenance that is deemed necessary by Supervision.
• Troubleshooting and/or perform general maintenance of mechanical devices and vehicles to assure proper function and safety.
• Working with hydraulics, gearboxes, pneumatics, and conveyors, and performing millwright work.
• Climbing/Inspecting track and structure.
