Job summary

Six Flags Corp in Virginia is seeking a Ride Maintenance Mechanic to inspect, troubleshoot and repair a variety of amusement rides and attractions. You will perform preventive maintenance, read blueprints, and ensure safe operation while climbing to heights.

This role requires shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays and offers a comprehensive benefits package. The position is full-time with a hourly wage of $27.00–$29.00, plus an annual performance bonus up to 5% and standard benefits,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent is required.
• 2–4 years of verifiable mechanical maintenance experience, ideally with amusement rides.
• Coaster carpentry experience is preferred and beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily to annual inspections and takes corrective actions as issues are identified.
• Performs preventative maintenance, repairs, and tests on rides and related equipment.
• Troubleshoots mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems and fixes issues.
• Maintains repair records and submits paperwork timely.
• Maintains equipment in safe, code-compliant condition; coordinates with others as needed.
• Reads manuals and blueprints for service and component replacement.
• Provides guest service according to Six Flags standards.
