Job summary

Chronos Consulting, part of the Coberon Chronos Group, seeks a Field Application Engineer to install, commission and troubleshoot AMR solutions across the United States. You will configure robotic systems, train customers, and ensure reliable operation at sites from manufacturing to warehouses.

Travel nationally and internationally may be required. You’ll work with engineering, project, and customer teams to optimize deployments and handover.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering or technical discipline.
• Minimum 2 years in field service engineering or a customer-facing technical role.
• Experience with electromechanical equipment and robot systems.
• Knowledge of networks (IP, Ethernet, Wi‑Fi, VPN) and Linux environments.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and travel willingness.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and test robotic systems at customer facilities to ensure start-up success.
• Provide timely technical support via email, phone, and online channels and train customers.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and integration issues.
• Manage customer cases with follow-up and corrective actions.
• Document incidents, root causes, and solutions; share insights with engineering.
• Prepare configurations for demonstrations, pilots, and industry events.
• Perform on-site hardware checks, diagnostics, and component replacement as needed.
• Collaborate with software, hardware, IT, and maintenance teams to resolve complex challenges.
