Job summary

Sysco Des Plaines is seeking an Operations professional to oversee large scale ammonia HVAC/R systems and support Refrigeration Techs and the Facility Manager. You will ensure compliance with IIAR, ASHRAE, EPA, OSHA codes and manage daily maintenance tasks.

Qualified candidates have HVAC/R schooling, CIRO and EPA certifications, and at least four years' experience. The role requires CMMS use, preventive maintenance, and safety compliance to protect product integrity.

Qualifications

• Four years of industrial HVAC/R experience.
• RETA CIRO and EPA universal certifications are preferred.
• HVAC/R schooling is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and maintain refrigeration storage equipment (50 HP to 3,000 HP).
• Troubleshoot electrical issues in ammonia systems and controls.
• Oversee HVAC, electrical, and refrigeration systems for performance and safety.
• Log daily CMMS work orders and PMs; document parts and time.
• Maintain safety and regulatory compliance (OSHA, EPA, etc.).
