Job summary

Sysco Northeast Rdc in Des Plaines, IL is seeking an Operations professional to oversee the safe operation and maintenance of ammonia refrigeration and HVAC systems. The role supports Refrigeration Tech II & III and Facility Manager to ensure assets meet applicable codes and safety standards.

Ideal candidates have HVAC/R schooling, CIRO certification, EPA certification, and at least four years of experience.

Qualifications

• Four years of industrial HVAC/R experience or equivalent.
• RETA CIRO and Universal EPA certifications are required.
• Must possess valid state driver’s license and meet company driver standards.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and perform preventive maintenance on refrigeration storage equipment 50 HP to 3,000 HP.
• Troubleshoot HVAC, refrigeration, electrical systems and control/alarm systems.
• Maintain operation logs in CMMS daily with work orders and PMs.
• Oversee Refrigeration, Electrical, and HVAC systems including monitoring and energy management strategies.
• Perform small electrical repairs and welding as needed to reduce contractor costs.
• Ensure product integrity via temperature monitoring and control.
