Job summary

Sysco is seeking an Operations technician to assist in overseeing large-scale ammonia refrigeration and HVAC systems. The role supports Refrigeration Techs and the Facility Manager to ensure assets are maintained in line with IIAR, ASHRAE, ASME, EPA and OSHA standards.

The candidate should have HVAC/R schooling, CIRO/RETA certifications, EPA certification, and at least four years of experience in service/maintenance of HVAC/R. The position offers growth with a stable, full-time career path.

Qualifications

• Four years of industrial HVAC/R experience; or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• RETA Certified Assistant Refrigeration Operator (CARO) certification or RETA CIRO certification within 6 months of employment.
• Universal EPA certification

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance of refrigeration storage equipment from 50 HP to 3,000 HP.
• Oversee and manage Refrigeration, Electrical, and HVAC systems including monitoring, troubleshooting and repairs.
• Ensure product integrity with tight temperature control and logging of CMMS work orders daily.
• Carry out preventative maintenance tasks and small electrical repairs as needed.
